Controlled Room Ventilation (KWL)
The KWL describes the controlled living space ventilation. A distinction is made between 2 types.
- The “decentralized ventilation” takes place via several individual devices. These devices are positioned at various points in space.
- “Central ventilation” means the merging of ventilation ducts in a central unit. This means that a single device ventilates the room via different channels.
A KWL can be designed as an exhaust air, supply air or combined system. It dehumidifies the room air and prevents mold growth. Controlled living space ventilation creates a feel-good climate.
Todays systems are equipped with air filters. These are used particularly in supply air and combination systems to protect the room and the KWL system from particles such as coarse and fine dust, pollen and insects.
With an additional layer of carbon granules (combination filter), air pollutants and odors are eliminated. It is customary to install a filter each for the exhaust air and for the future in the respective device. Combinations of particles, combination filter or combination filter plus are possible.
